Sahodaya Bethany Federation

Sahodaya Bethany Federation started in the year 2006.

The federation has the membership from all the 27 Self Help groups .

Monthly meetings are held for the federation members at Sahodaya Bethany Seva Kendra, Bendur. Members are given various trainings such as leadership skills, ill effects of social media, moral values, cleanliness and care of environment, herbal/home remedies, rain water harvesting, plastic free society, violence against women, government schemes and facilities, awareness on atrocities against women, human trafficking, migrants, self employment, human rights education, responsible parenthood, healthy–food habits and life style, problems of adolescence, children’s rights/POCSO Act, save water/save trees, vermin-culture, etc. Women actively participate in the group discussions and are able to express their opinion and are enlightened in the current issues and social problems.

SHGs are the share holders for the federation and this amount is taken by the members as internal loan for the various entrepreneurial activities.
